I first started my self portrait project on a 9 by 6 piece of paper and slowly but creatively creating a 2D sketch about a face that I think symbolizes me indifferent colors and deformed features creating a dry, cracked and deformed face. After my 2D sketch I traced the drawing onto cardboard to start creating my 3D model and then drew, painted then cut out the pieces of cardboard to hot glue them onto a portrait. The self portrait consisted of baby blue and pink tissue paper, 2 wooden sphere shaped sticks, 2 black and white wired pieces of yarn to hold the tissue together, a styrofoam ball, and a plastic pot. All this was also held together by hot glue. After the 3D model was created I made one solid model digitally and a creative patterned model. These images are the start to finish of my self portrait model. Hope you enjoy.
